Dublin, July 2018. Zeeko, headquartered at NovaUCD, welcomes the Government Action Plan on Online Safety as launched by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
The Action Plan is centred on five goals to ensure public safety online (i) online safety for all (ii) better supports for citizens (iii) stronger protections for people (iv) influencing national and EU policy (iv) building Government’s understanding of online safety issues. The implementation of the plan is driven by a whole government approach.

Dublin, 10th January 2018. A risky form of online behaviour called sexting i.e. the act of exchanging sexually explicit content online in the form of images, videos and text has become a prominent feature of Irish adolescents’ communication.
Zeeko, headquartered at NovaUCD, announced the results of its Secondary School Digital Trend Report, a study aimed at better understanding the current digital trends among teenagers in Ireland. The study surveyed 3,231 secondary school pupils, 1,408 females and 1,823 males from 30 schools.

Dublin, 7th November 2017. Zeeko (www.zeeko.ie), an Irish EdTech start-up, today announced that it has secured just over €100,000 in funding through the Horizon 2020 SME Innovation Associate Programme
The company is using the funding to launch a new research project, initially involving school children in Ireland, to evaluate the side effects of virtual reality (VR) technology on children’s health.

Dublin, January 2017. Zeeko, Irish-based company located at Nova UCD, works to educate parents to teach their children to stay safe online. Zeeko, today, Tuesday, 3rd January, announced results of its second School Digital Trend Report.
The digital trend report is based on the work carried out by Zeeko with parents and teachers in 2016. 4,439 primary school pupils completed a questionnaire about their internet use in 29 schools between September and November 2016.

Dublin, January 2016. Zeeko, an Irish Start Up based at Nova UCD which works to educate parents and teachers to teach their children to stay safe online, today, Friday, 8th January 2016 announced the successful completion of the crowdfunding campaign it launched earlier this week.
The funds raised will enable Zeeko to publish the Zeeko Internet Safety Guide and put a digital copy into every Primary School in Ireland.
